School Communications
SEQTA Engage and the School App are the two main ways of keeping abreast of your child's education journey at St Hilda's.
If you have not downloaded these Apps, please click here for more information.
If you already have the App, please ensure your ‘subscriptions’ are updated to reflect your child’s current year level and cocurricular activities for 2026.
To add subscriptions and turn on notifications, please go to the 'More' button located in the bottom right-hand corner. Then go to settings. You can turn notifications on and off from here. To subscribe to your daughter's year level and cocurricular, click on 'Subscriptions' and choose the relevant information you wish to receive. This will then ensure you receive the right communications for your child's year group and the activities they are involved in.
Both of these Apps will require you to log in using your St Hilda’s issued username and password (e.g, 1234@sthildas.wa.edu.au). If you have any issues with the SEQTA Engage App or School App, please contact our IT Helpdesk on 92854295 or helpdesk@sthildas.wa.edu.au
Newsletter The newsletter will provide a wrap-up of Junior School and Senior School activities and include all year-level notices that are on the App, as well as stories and photos from school activities. The newsletter is available via the School App.

Student Card
A student card will be issued to all new students from Pre Primary to Year 6. The Student card can be linked to the following services: -
St Hilda’s Chidley Cafe – the Cafe is cashless and students who wish to purchase in person from the Cafe require a student card. Parents who order online for their children can continue to do so without needing a card.
- Horizons West private bus service
- Transperth public transport services (buses, trains, ferry)
Student Cards will be ordered on commencement and take around a week to be issued. Students wishing to make a purchase from the Cafe during this time will need to use the online service until they receive their card. Students wishing to use Horizons bus service prior to receiving their card will just need to inform the driver of their name and year group and this will be charged once the card has been issued. |
MSA My Student Account (MSA) allows families to create an account for online ordering; or add credit to student cards for the Cafe.

Transport Horizons West St Hilda’s provides bus services via Horizons West across a number of routes. To view the route maps, please click here.
Please note: Junior School students may need to transition to a second bus at our Senior School campus depending on their final destination. Parents are to consider their child’s independence in managing this transition before sending their child on the bus. Transperth Buses Transperth Special School buses operate during the term. Fremantle Bridge Closure – Dedicated Express Bus from Fremantle Station
During the closure of the Fremantle Traffic Bridge, Transperth will run a School Special bus service for St Hilda’s students, to both Junior and Senior School campuses from Fremantle Station. This express bus will only be open to students at St Hilda’s, creating a safe environment for them to get to school. The service has been scheduled to align with our school start and finish times. However, it will only begin operating from Monday 2 February 2026. For further information, please click here.

Digital Strategy
Early in Term 4, we announced our new Digital Strategy for 2026. Key points from this communication around mobile phones and smartwatches are below. Access to and use of School-Provided Learning Devices
Junior Kindy and Kindy will remain device-free. Pre Primary – Year 2 will also be device-free, but will have access to technology for the teaching of the Digital Technology curriculum only. Years 3 – 5 will have access to iPads. These will be formatted to provide access only to the required software and will not be taken home.
Year 6 will continue to have access to a Surface Device, as this is the device they have used in Year 5 (2025). However, in 2026, their device will not be taken home. Please note that from 2027, Year 6 will transition to 1to1 iPads that will be formatted to provide access only to the software required. This device will not be taken home.
iPad Content (Years 3-5) - The Junior School iPads will support our Microsoft collaboration tools, including the following Apps: OneDrive, OneNote, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
-
The iPads have been set up to reduce distraction, and the following default apps have been removed: The App Store, Apple News, Apple Notes, Apple Mail, the Calendar app, and the Stocks app. This creates a very streamlined and gradual approach for our girls' digital development.
- Advertisements, free apps, and gaming will not be allowed.
Junior School Mobile Phone Expectations - We encourage our families to delay providing their daughter/s with a mobile phone.
- Parents can make this commitment together via Home | Wait Mate
- Should a parent choose to provide their daughter with a phone, we recommend a wise phone, a retro phone, or a configured phone, rather than a smartphone. Please see the Digital Resource Hub for further information.
- Junior School students with phones will continue to sign their mobile phones in at Junior School reception each morning and collect them after school.
-
If a mobile phone is confiscated during the school day, parents will receive an email from Junior School reception. If managing your daughter's access at home is challenging, the school can support parents by keeping the phone for longer than a day. Parents can email Junior School reception to specify a release date.
Smartwatches are not permitted. |
Individual Music Tuition
If your daughter is interested in taking individual music lessons, please fill in the Registration of Interest Form below. |

New Parents Website
All relevant information for new parents can be found on the New Parents page on the School website click here for access. |
2025 Semester Two Reports
A copy of your child's 2025 Semester Two report is required prior to their commencement at the School. Please email a copy of their Semester Two report to enrol@sthildas.wa.edu.au before 28 January 2026. |
School Platforms In mid-January, all new families will be sent account details to establish their Consent2Go, My Student Account (MSA), Horizons West and SEQTA Engage accounts. |
Immunisation Information
Immunisation records will be requested in January through Consent2Go for all new families. In addition, all Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten families must provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) statement showing their child is up to date, exempt or on a catch-up schedule. Students in these year groups will not be able to commence until this is provided.
The AIR Immunisation History Statement can be accessed at any time through: - Logging into Medicare online via MyGov (my.gov.au)
- Using the Medicare Express Plus App
- Visiting a Medicare or Centrelink office, or
- Calling the AIR General Enquiries Line on 1800 653 809
Please Note: Families arriving from overseas will need to have their immunisation translated onto the AIR by a GP or via the Central Immunisation Clinic. The administration can take some time to process, so we recommend that you start this process as soon as possible. |
